RE: Sound Library - Emptied
Provide the same info as asked in that other thread (you'd better have continued that other thread anyways so no duplicated information is given... anyways:
Answer these questions:
- Did you uninstalled Messenger Plus! or Messenger Plus! Live at one point?
- Did you used any kind of optimizer software, or clean-up tools or the likes?
- Did you edited/deleted some files in the soundlibrary preferences prior to this?
- Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Messenger Plus!\Custom Sounds" and report back what files are in there.
There is no real delete function in Messenger Plus! Live. It shouldn't touch the actual files unless you explicitly press the delete button inside the soundlibrary preferences. But this function is so deeply nested that it is practiacally impossible that it is called 'by accident' and deletes the whole directory just like that.
The only thing I could think of which could have happened as a bug is that Plus! Live also moves the physical sound files to another location upon installation or something. But since Plus! Live doesn't even need to do that or whatever, I find it very very strange that this is due a bug in Messenger Plus! Live. Though, it IS possible of course. Hence why Patchou needs as much detailed information as possible. eg: the exact and detailed steps you did just before this happened (including the stuff you did in Windows itself)...
