If you do, go to http://messenger.live.com to install a clean version of WLM.

Please uninstall Messenger and Messenger Plus! Live first, restart your computer, and delete their folders before you reinstall.

If WLM works without anything else, only then install Plus!. If then it still works, then it's not Plus!'s fault.
