RE: Contact Problems
You can try and see if this helps:
1. Sign out of Messenger.
2. Click "Start," click "Run," type %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\, and then click "OK."
A new Microsoft Windows Explorer window opens.
3. In the window, click your Messenger ID.
4. Double-click the "Contacts" folder.
5. Delete the two folders that you see in the "Contacts" folder.
6. Sign in to Messenger again.
