According to your own screenshort, Partition Magic disagrees.  That is likely part of the problem.

A quick Google search shows several people are claiming PM8 is not compatible with Vista.  I'd try booting your Windows XP installation and using PM under that.

This is XP :P (Media Center Edition)

I would never use Partition Magic on Vista :P
