First of all, sorry to be the partypooper....

Doing something like this will make people cheat for sure.
You can make it with all the good intentions in the world, but there will always be people who will cheat, and cheating would be extremely easy when you do something like this with a script (and no, not all cheaters will be reconized or discovered, unfortunatly).

Also, ideas like this (in one form or the other) have been suggested before on the forums. The never took much ground simply because the most important thing has been forgotten or not much attention has been given to it: gameplay. You can assign jobs to persons and people could sign up and stuff, but all that is rather useless at this point.

You can't start developping something if you don't already have a detailed gameplan with all the ins and outs. To develop something like this you need to draw out and pen down a lot of stuff on paper first and it all should work and fit (rules, items, carefull balance between values of items, etc etc). Making the program, server, script is actually one of the last steps.

The idea must come first, then that idea should be discussed, gameplay should be discussed. What would the gamer be able to do, what not, how does one play the game, what's the goal of the game, how to win, how to loose, etc, etc, etc...

Only when all that is known, defined, fixed, working on paper, etc you can start thinking of developping it. And when that happens you also know what the requirements would be. So a natural selecting of who does what would also be done. Only then you can make a thread like this, otherwise, I'm afraid this is a bit useless...

Other than this, I'm interested in seeing this to be developped (as game ideas have been suggested before and threads have been made before,... none took any ground).
