It's actually just a neat trick to see if my parents are checking up on me or not (they're limited accounts, and so theoratically shouldn't be able to see inside my folders anyway, but they might get my password... my dad's kinda geeky, he knows how to use auditor)
The 9.53GB is actually just a 10 240 000 000 byte sparse file
And finally, I forgot to mention this in my first post, but I actually have a very organised structure on my system:
C:
- Documents and Settings
- Windows
D:
- Archived Downloads (useful things, such as firefox and the like)
- Games (duh)
- Internet (browsers, mail clients, p2p stuff)
- Media (anything to do with audio, image processing, etc)
- Software (general stuff that doesnt fit in other categories)
- System (system maintenance stuff)
- Temp
Pagefile.sys
P:
- Downloads from the start of the month (keeps track so I don't go over the 40gb limit)
- Internet Cache
It's possible to change the default program files directory (and my documents using the windows installer, much harder after windows is actually installed)
-- A file indexing thing would be fairly useful for me, it'd let me see what I'd installed where
-- I don't really have enough documents for the need to index them, but...
-- I have a PHP CMS I run for the school I go to (I made it myself, fairly proud of it), and it'd be nice to index the documentation for it
