Problems while making plugin..

Hello there,
I'm a vb programmer, I was trying to make a plugin to show what music the person is listening to in the personal message of the user,
getting what music the user is listening is not a problem,
but I cant find the way of how to change the personal message..
Can anyone help me on this?
