that's absolutely not going to change them to text. All you will do is renaming the file; The file will still be a XHTML log.
(and you don't need to rename to .TXT if you want to open them in notepad; XHTML is text too so you can simply open them in notepad. Though you will see XHTML code)

Change back to XHTML, press apply and change to TEXT again, and press apply.
Make also sure you have enabled the option "
Save all my chats to log files by default".
Also check your "
Contacts Filter" settings. Make sure the contacts you wanna log are selected in the filter.
And double check the destination directory where your logs will be saved in.
After checking everything and pressing on the "Ok" or "Apply" button, restart Messenger.
If this doesn't fix your problem, then try to download the latest version of
Messenger Plus! Live (version 4.10.250 has just been released).
