O.P. New contacts will not add correctly
Greetings,
I am having an issue with adding new contacts to my contact list.
IF they add me first, I do not get the authorization box anymore to choose if I wish them to be able to see me and for me to add them as well.
They cannot see me online even if I am online.
I can manually add someone.... and they show up on my list... and if they message me first, we can chat - AND history is kept, but they never show "online status" to me, and I do not to them, AND at the top of our conversation it says they are NOT on my contact list, to click here to add them ( and when I do that, nothing happens except the hourglass turns for a while)....
I have checked all the settings I think I needed to check to see if anything had been inadvertently changed.. ( although I do not remember changing anything in a long long time )
Has anyone else had this problem?
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall both messenger and plus from scratch? ( been too lazy to try that )
Any help to avoid doing that would be appreciated.
