Okay, this is driving me up the wall and it's no longer an isolated incident, so here we go:
The Messenger Plus! Live RSS feed (http://msgpluslive.net/news/feed/ although I've been subscribed to
http://msgplus.net/rss.php which redirects by HTTP to
http://www.msgpluslive.net/oldsite/rss.php but has an identical source code to the former) seems to create false alerts in my feed reader (Thunderbird) at random intervals. Every so often (but not every check or every day or even every week) I get duplicate versions of all the news items. They are correctly dated and the items' content has identical source in Thunderbird, but something in the full RSS source appears to be changing because Thunderbird doesn't see them as being the same article.
Anyone else had this problem? The MP!L feed is the only one I've seen do this. To give an example of timeframe, I have 8 copies of "About Windows Live Messenger 8.1" of 14/09/2006, including one, along with the other stories currently on the feed, at some point in the last hour or two.
