Stopping Messenger from disconnecting itself every now and again

O.P. Stopping Messenger from disconnecting itself every now and again
When using Windows Live Messenger it signs out every now and again before signing back in by itself 60 seconds later.  I have disabled and uninstalled Windows Messenger in case that was interfering with it but this has not solved the problem.  Does anyone have any other ideas?
