The only way this has been done so far is through a method that involves both a script and StuffPlug.
StuffPlug is needed for the Chat Only name feature so you do not create a whole lot of events in your contacts' event logs and
my script is needed for changing you Chat Only name depending on who you sent a message to. There is some more information in the links, I hope this is what you are after (please note that the script isn't the easiest to use just yet, there may be an update later for it however).
