Start>Run>type <regedit>   and press Enter

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Patchou>Messenger Plus! Live>your Windows Live ID>Preferences

There find and delete this key: PreferencesLockPwd

Then you'll be able to open your preferences.
