It has been discussed a hell of a lot of times. So much even that many threads have been removed already (the ones which always ended in flames). But many threads still exist about it though...
It comes down to:
If you have an alternative
(a proper one! Not something like 'Google-ads'), just post it. Not much needs to be discussed about it I think.
Also, remember that Patchou probably has a contract also (well, most likely
). Changing sponsors (if there would be any suitable alternative in the first place) isn't that easy either, probably, I think...
