I'm pretty sure you can get both the Quran and the Christian Bible in TXT format, wouldn't that be easier to parse? If you search really hard you might even find it in some DB/XML type of form.

EDIT:Quick search showed sacred-texts.com that seems to provide full versions that look like the can be indexed pretty easy:

"The Noble Qur.aan" which is a free ebook also seems very nice if you can parse CHM files: http://www.fatwa-online.com/downloads/dow004/noblequraan.chm
