aphrodite: The only suggestion I have, if you've already done
this is to go to Plus > Preferences > General tab > Sounds > and make sure "Allow built-in sounds to be played" is checked.
Only other thing I can think of, is, are you set to Busy(though I don't think this effects playing sounds in the sound library)? And are you sure your sound is functioning properly, for example, can you hear normal messenger sounds, such as when you recieve a new message etc. And can you hear music etc say in WMP?
