C_C_C, when you see this message: Press F6 if you have to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver. during XP setup, press F7.

Sorry that I never got back to you sooner on this, but these features (F6 or F7) did nothing. Even tried UBCD and was unable to successfully install Windows XP with it....? Exhausted many suggestions, with no success. We think it is the motherboard which was replaced prior to all of this. the RAM (512MB) tested all right. Tried to install different versions of Windows, Vista, XP Home, and even '98.
