Tick the option "Modify the systray icon" on the preferences page in the image. But "lock messenger plus" is not the correct sentence because Messenger itself can be locked with the help of Messenger Plus!.quote:

They want to know why the icon can't be changed when you recieve an email if it can when messenger is locked... The answer is.... that it probably is possible, if not difficult to do
