It's because the Elite only came out a few days ago there. Patchou said they could wait and have it shipped then or take a Premium 360 with additional games if I recall :).

Anyways, glad you finally got it, enjoy it. I myself also have a 360 Elite and no problems with it so far, enjoy it :p.
