Rolando: That was a new feature added to the new beta. 4.2x doesn' have that ability through the preferences and you have to go through the registry to enable or disable them. Maybe you should familiarize yourself with the change log
What was asked however is for some method of accessing that script menu without the icons enabled, for example, make another part in the main toolbar called "Scripts" along with "Files", "Plus!", etc so that the menu is still accessable.
