signup page for existing emails (formaly know as .Net Passport site) and simply sign up the email address you want.
That's what it is there for and what everybody else uses (should use) to sign up with existing non-hotmail, non-live, non-ms addresses....
aka, this
'trick' is useless.
It's like ordening a DIY building packet from the other side of the world, while you can get the very same thing assembled and all and cheaper right next door
