I have a Inspiron 1501. Dell sent no disks with the system becuase they said there was no need as it was on system. However I got the following error message and can't boot

session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectaedly with a status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000). / the system has been shut down.
Dell says my warranty is up. I have tried the last good configuation , no good. I need help and am not a sophisticated user so can anyone help? Thx
