Shut down WLM completly

If you have WLM 8.5, go to the folder:
C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger
For 8.1:
C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger

Find the file msimg32.dll
rename the file extension to something to something other than .dll

Restart WLM
