RE: "Compatible" Version (Win98/MSN7.0) problem
I, too, am having this problem. Brand new clean install on a Toshiba Tecra 4010CDT laptop with 160 MB RAM. 98SE plus the unofficial service pack 2.1a, IE 6.0, Messenger 7.0.
I actually receive 2 error messages, one after the other:
"The C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\MSGPLUS3-SETUP.EXE file expects a newer version of Windows.
Upgrade your Windows version."
"C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\MsgPlus3-Setup.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning."
Attachment shows these 2 error messages, plus version info.
