If you are a contractor providing a service and the company is your client rather than your employer, then I would suggest carrying a laptop. You are not likely to have adequate upstream bandwidth at home to serve remote access to graphics intensive apps like Photoshop.
True, if he works for a company it is their concern, not his. I was under the impression OP owns the company (he says: my company) but works from home most of the time...
