Means it has 4GB RAM installed and the pre-installed OS is 32bit. A 32bit OS can only use 3GB of RAM, so you'll be wasting 1GB. You could format the system and install 64bit Vista IF they offer 64bit drivers. I have a Sony Vaio with 4GB myself, and couldn't find any 64bit drivers

I don't know if you plan to carry this around a lot, but keep in mind 17inch and up is quite bulky and heavy. Great as desktop replacement, shit to carry around.
