O.P. Restart/c000021a
As of yesterday, my XP will not Turn Off, it does a Restart.
Following MS320299, I switched off Automatic restart.
Now when I Turn Off I get the blue "c000021a" Fatal System Error - Logon process terminated unexpectedly, status 0x00000000 (..0.. ..0..) - I then need to press the power button to complete the Turn Off.
I have searched MS without success and downloaded all the updates I had previously ignored (including SP3), without success.
I do have a manufacurers Recovery disk (Fujitsu Siemens), but there is no Repair option and it wants to remove my existing XP as it is newer, with threats of losing files. This obviously concerns me (and surprises me).
Any help appreciated
I should have added that I am getting a RUNDL Error message on starting up - system32\drvgog.dll - "Access denied"
