Recieving a critical error when trying to sign into WLM 8.5

O.P. Recieving a critical error when trying to sign into WLM 8.5
When I double click on the WLM 8.5 Final Version Icon. I recieve the following error:

C:/Program Files/Windows Live/Messenger/msnmsgr.exe

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

I reinstalled the program at least five times and stil no luck.
