If I'm getting the wrong idea about this feature, someone tell me, please.
Well, it does sort of mean that, but it also means that if you have a lot of contacts who just randomly change their name to lyrics of a song, a film quote or some trite saying that is 12 lines long, you can set your own name for them and will therefore be able to recognise who it is rather than trying to guess or work it out from their email address.
For me, this will be the killer feature of the new version as I've wanted this for a long time, even going so far as to install Trillian just to get it.
So Hurrach for Patchou and his wonderful add-on.
Presumably you won't HAVE to give someone a name, so if you like what they call themselves it will all be good.
