my itunes seems to sporadically add extra info to some of my songs, filling in track number, etc

so i'm sure it can be done, I just don't know if there's any way to manually start the process in itunes.

it'd be quicker and more accurate to just do it yourself

of course it'd also be quicker to just google and then with about 2 mins of searching you'd have found this
