I don't think so, not easily at least. As far as I can see you can only have one or the other, for some reason WLM makes the PSM blank when you're listening to music. There may be a way to get both via a script by saving the PSM and media message to a text file or something, but there are a number of problems with that... Some of the code detecting the PSM may conflict with an actual empty PSM and when WLM is "faking" it; there'd be nowhere to put it, although it could be implemented into YASS or something I guess, with the downside to it being you can't actually see it yourself without opening the image.
In the almost-new version of WLM it is possible to have both, but contacts using the stable 8.5 will still see normal behaviour (for them).
Do you mean you can do it in the newest version of Windows Live Messenger 2009? If so how?

possible with http://www.msgpluslive.net/scripts/view/58-Now-Playing/
but you have to put your personal message into it, rather then straight into messenger
on the main option page, first text box add it to the front. "blah blah - n/p ...."
I take it that doesnt work on the latest version of Windows Live Messenger 2009 as Plus doesnt work very well with it?
