It is most likely patched using A-Patch or MessPatch, which will stop MP!L placing it's buttons correctly. Do a clean install and try again...

What makes you so sure? I dont think all skins change the "look" of WLM, Do they? Also, I dont think he is using A-patch as the ad link still exists as shown in the screenshot. And at Tim, I noticed you dont even have any of the Plus! buttons in the coversation window.
