RE: encrypt old msn chat log
That does not look like an encrypted chat log of Messenger Plus! (provided you copied the exact same output from notepad).
Encrypted chat logs always start with the characters "MPLE" and always have the file extension PLE.
If you believe this is a valid, non-corrupted and encrypted chat log of Messener Plus!, then you should be able to open it with the "Log Viewer" of Messenger Plus!. This program can be found in the installation directory of Messenger Plus!.
If you have Messenger Plus! installed you should also be able to simply double click the log file (with the extension PLE) to open it. The Log Viewer will then automatically be started and the log will be read.
Of course, you _must_ have the correct password to open the encrypted log file. There is no way to open an encrypted chat log if you don't know the correct password. There is also no way to retrieve the password as it isn't stored anywhere.
If the Log Viewer is unable to open the file then the file is either not a Messenger Plus! chat log or the file is corrupted (due to hard disk errors for example).
