Hmm, not here, just tried again. Maybe it remembers, should try on a clean machine.

EDIT: Just tried again on a machine that never had Plus! installed yet. First time you run it you will still be offered to install CiD. Refuse CiD and install Plus. Then run the Plus! installer again, you will now be offered the Ask sponsor. Make Ask.com my browser's default search provider is not checked by default. Neither will it remember for the next time if you do manually check that box. Make sure you grab a fresh download when you test, there seem to have been silent changes again .

I would prefer the Ask sponsor exclusively and dumping CiD completely
