hey if its the offline messages that are causing you the trouble i think i have a solution
1.click on you main name and scroll down until you find options
2.if you have windows live messenger there should be a white column at the side of the options box with personal highlighted in blue
3.click on messages
4.scroll down till you find offline instant message settings and tick the box/circle thats says show a link to my offline messages in the main window
