MSN have started force user to run Windows Live and i hate that version of the application. Only way to start MSN 8.1 is by select to run it in Windows 2000 mode, but when doing this Messenger Plus menu will be disable.

You could run the latest version or Windows Live Messenger and Plus!, then apply one of the many skins that make WLM like MSN again :
