No, it won't allow you to track people signing in as Appear Offline.

You might find some posts such as those mentioned in CookieRevised's reply to Event viewer for Messenger Plus inconsistent with MSN notifications on the forums and on the first sight they might look like what I'm saying is not true, but if you read them carefully, you will see the statement above holds. :)
