The problem is on the server, not on the Messenger client. Messenger 8.5 would report wrong data too.

i c ,,

i've tried to contact the WLM support ,, all they say that i need to clear the cache folders which contains my contact list,,
i follow the steps and the problem still same.

btw ,, how do i explain to the guy who try to support me about the issue in the server?

mostang222; hmmmm how about taking from my post? as i did some tests it. tried reading from the top again
