Ok. Well firstly the .dll method of installing skins isn't needed since Plus! has a simple and safe way of using
skins.
So if you've messed around with .dll files, repairing Messenger will fix that, as it replaces all the files with the originals.
If you've removed Plus! and still having the problem, then this should really be in the Windows Live Messenger support forum.
Regarding the error message, you can try
