So don't get your hopes up for a working Plus! on Messenger 2011 beta anytime soon for now. Like Nagamasa said, if you really want Plus! just keep on using Wave 3 (2009) for now.
Messenger 2010 is a beta and does contain bugs, adding Plus! to that will cause even more unexpected bugs, making it hard for Microsoft to figure out what is going on from the data the beta build is sending back to their servers.
But by the time Messenger 2010 comes out of beta (expected
mid/end august) I'm sure we can either expect the first Plus! 5 builds, or if that isn't ready yet at that time, patched Plus! 4 which will work.
