RE: msn virus
I'm hit with this virus as well, so far that I understand, it's a virus that randomly replaces a single instance of message you've sent. It could be the first sentence, next or just any.
So for example:
[Vamprant's screen (infected)]
Vamprant: Hey there
Friend: Heya, how are you doing?
Vamprant: Yeah pretty good but busy though
Friend: That so? Same here
Vamprant: You know that guy Carlos?
Friend: Yeah, that guy who wore glasses
Vamprant: I hear he's getting married
Friend: hmm.. Yeah?
Vamprant: He sent out some invitations
....
....
[Friend's screen]
Vamprant: Hey there
Friend: Heya, how are you doing?
Vamprant: Yeah pretty good but busy though
Friend: That so? Same here
Vamprant: You know that guy Carlos?
Friend: Yeah, that guy who wore glasses
Vamprant: h-t-t-p://image-bucket.net/img/DCSurt.jpg //Real virus link
Friend: hmm.. Yeah? [Clicks and downloads file]
Vamprant: He sent out some invitations
....
....
That's usually the case how it was spread from friends to more friends, am looking for a fix for this as well, I tried advanced system care and other softwares but to no avail. And in most cases the friends double click the virus program finding nothing, then they would ask, only to find out it was a virus.
Thanks in advance if anyone comes up with a fix or cure for this.
