O.P. not showing all my contacts online!
I am having this weird probably lately.
MSN/live messenger will not show me that alot of my contacts are online. If i log off and goto another messenger account, they are online.

One of the contacts is my yahoo addy. SO i know these people just havent blocked me lol.

Now  i've followed all the steps about deleting the cache file and uninstalling msgplus and everything.

I've wiped everything out, uninstalled live messenger. Deleted all the directories in the local settings\ including the temp folder.

Deleted the folders from the program files, so its nothing on my pc because ideleted them all.

downloaded the latest version of wlm and installed it, logged in

And still its giving me this problem.
I don't want to have to use another msn account instead of the one i use now because everyone talks to me on that one.

Does anyone else know how to fix this?

Btw, the steps below didnt work for me
quote:
1. Remove Windows Live Messenger from your computer.
a. In the notification area, right-click the Windows Live Messenger icon, and then click "Sign Out."
b. Click "Start," click "Run," type the following command, and then click "OK":
control appwiz.cpl
c. In the list of currently installed programs, select Windows Live Messenger, and then click "Remove."
d. If you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the program, click "Yes."
2. Remove the temporary files and folders from your computer:
a. Click "Start," click "Run," type "cleanmgr", and then click "OK."
b. If you are prompted, click "C:" in the "Select the drive you want to clean up" list, and then click "OK."

Notes:
- If you partitioned the hard disk, the CleanMgr utility prompts you to select a drive.
- The Disk Cleanup utility displays how much disk space can be freed.
- This process can take a several minutes.

c. On the "Disk Cleanup" tab, make sure that the following options are selected, and then make sure that no other options are selected:
- Downloaded Program Files
- Temporary Internet files
- Temporary files
- Temporary Offline files
- Offline files
d. Click "OK" two times.

3. Download Messenger manually:
- Windows Live Messenger
a. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
b. Visit http://ideas.live.com
c. Sign in by using your beta account.
d. Click "Download" under "Windows Live Messenger."
e. In the "Security Warning" dialog box, click "Save," and then select the folder where you want to save the downloaded Setup package.

4. Install Windows Live Messenger:
a. Locate the Windows Live Messenger Setup file that you saved in step 3.
Use the following list of Setup package names to determine which package to use:
- Windows Live Messenger uses Install_Messenger_beta.exe
b. Double-click the Messenger Setup file for your operating system.
c. Follow the steps in the wizard to install Messenger.
