Hi. I've made a new plugin called "Ultimate Messenger Lock" to fix this.

I don't try it, but really usefull at work... to hide msn to your boss... but isn't already implemented in MsgPlus with "boss protection" ?
ahh ok... just understanding ... remplacing the tray icone, choosed in boss protection , by nothing...

That's really useful for me since i'm not allowed to use messenger at school
But: I found a bug...:
I set both shortcuts to: ctrl + shift + left arrow and it produced a stack overflow and I had to restart my computer

Wow, that's not nice... What's your Windows, Messenger and Plus version? Does it always happen? How can you reproduce it? Thanks.

Yes. Always when I put both shortcuts to ctrl+shift+left arrow / right arrow (haven't tested other combinations jet)

Go to "Ultimate Messenger Lock plugin configuration"window (wow, what a name ), tick the two Boxes, set both shortcuts to ctrl+shift+left arrow, click ok, close the  Messenger Plus! Preferences window and then press the shortcut.

Bug: (Ultimate Lock)
For instance you have either your Contact List or an IM window open and you press the key combination for the UM Lock and the windows stay visible just the icon is hidden.


If you use Boss Protection you cannot use the key combination for UML because the plugins dont respond.

Messenger Plus! Lock shortcut is failing, check if that shortcut works fine, if that's the problem, select another shortcut (the two shortcuts have to be different, like in the screenshot).

Oh they are different. The first is CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE and the second is CTRL+ALT+S.

Using CTRL+ALT+Left Arrow Key (This works) (Left arrow key is switched to Num 4)
Using CTRL+ALT+0 (This works)
Using CTRL+ALT+D (Failes)
Using CTRL+Shift+End (Works) (End key is switched to Num 1)
Using CTRL+Shift+D (Works)
Using CTRL+Alt+Shift+D (Fails)

It seems that when you use Alt you cannot use any letters. This could be because of keyboard shortcuts in menus.

When having Windows show the underlined key shortcuts it still happens
(Display Properties > Appearance > Advanced > something about the alt key)

Bug: Settings don't work per-account, please fix this
