O.P. Display Picture Problem
Each time I log into MSN Messenger my display picture either changes or doesn't show.
I have unticked the 'This is a shared computer so don't store my..' box.
I use a proxy server for Messenger Discovery. I don't know if that would effect it?

Toddy, Indie Boy has said that he has not checked that box anyway.

If your display picture keeps changing, the only way to repair this is to remove all your display pictures manually. Go to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\number, with Username being your Windows username and number the number that symbolises your email address.

Use this little program to find out which number matches your email address. Go there and delete the folder called UserTile. Reboot and add your display pictures again; your problem should be fixed :)

RE: Display Picture Problem
Anyways since toddy's post didn't make any sense to me I will jump in. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and end the process of MsgPlus.exe Then set a new display picture and sign off of MSN Messenger and Exit it from the tray.

Restart MSN Messenger if your Display picture was successfully saved restart your computer and try and change it again with Messenger Plus! loaded.

A long time ago there was a bug in Plus! that would prevent MSN Messenger from saving its changes because it exited it two quickly.

I had the same problem when trying out MSN Proxy. No DP and no Videocam.
I deleted it and everything went back to normal.

I tried MSNProxy v1.21.00 at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/msnproxy/
