This may sound noobish but i joined in february when i found the forum by seeing the public beta, but how does someone become a beta tester.

I don't care if i am a beta tester or not. Apparenly patchou decides but he isn't as active anymore. So how do new people like me become beta testers someday.

If you want to participate in the BETA testing project, as soon as a new BETA series is released e-mail Patchou and ask him if you could participate. As long as you do it to help out plus, and not just for the whole "I'm a BETA tester" thing, he'll be glad to accept you if you really can help out.

Well, Patchou told me I could be on via. email, shortly after creating the Messenger Plus! Support site etc...

Other people had something like 2 hours to send an email to Patchou, this happened about 1 month after I was picked...

Without me, James wouldn't of been a beta tester

As you can read in many related threads. Beta testers are picked by Patchou if he needs some... To be a beta tester you need to know the ins and outs of Messenger Plus!, have a big knowledge of computing in general (need to know how to handle files, problems, bugs, and other stuff like that) and above all Patchou needs to be able to trust you.

Trust is important as he won't want the beta's leaked. So he asks for beta testers every so often and you can sign up?

AFAIK last time was the first time Patchou has done it that way and asked people to apply to be testers.  I think he said he did it that way because he wanted a loit of people to test the new Custom Sound feature

Not necessarily, you can never trust anybody... Somebody, don't know who, leaked the beta's of messenger plus! 3.20 to Sean...

You can only hope, and keep on supporting Messenger Plus! in any way, shape or form.

You probably haven't heard of some, because some are from other forums, like Neowin, Mess.be and MSN Fanatic.

I counted 57 so thats quite a lot, but think about how many people use Plus! thats tiny i guess
