And yes gmail does support POP3.
First you need to sign in to your gmail account, go to settings at the top right of the page, forwarding and pop3, and check
Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on
Then open the main MSN Messenger, go to plus > preferences > POP3 Email.
Fill in the details like this.
Email address:
user@gmail.com
server:
pop.gmail.com
login & Password:
user@gmail.com <password>
Check This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) and make sure the number next to the server box has changed to
995.
Then test settings and it should work.
