It doesn't work for me for some reason.

Can someone help me out here? I'm guessing that I filled some fields wrong...but I dont know.

Server wants to be the mailserver the e-mail provider tells you to use. Port is almost always 110.
Username and password are fairly obvious.

E-mail is just a piece of text: make it whatever you like.

what account do you want POP3 to be enabled for? Gmail?

It is a hotmail account. What is the server for it?

AFAIK, hotmail does not support POP3 unless you have a premiuim account for which you have to pay.

AFAIK = as far as i know....

i don't use my pop3 on msgplus for gmail... it works with outlook though so in theory it should work just remember to enable it, lol it's a common problem

AFAIK means As Far As I Know.

And yes gmail does support POP3.

First you need to sign in to your gmail account, go to settings at the top right of the page, forwarding and pop3, and check Enable POP only for mail that arrives from now on

Then open the main MSN Messenger, go to plus > preferences > POP3 Email.

Fill in the details like this.

Email address: user@gmail.com

server:   pop.gmail.com

login & Password:   user@gmail.com     <password>

Check This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) and make sure the number next to the server box has changed to 995.

Then test settings and it should work.
