O.P. Error Installing Flash MX 2004
Hey when trying to install falsh mx 2004, or it's update i get this error message shown in the attachement.

It says a parameter is incorrect.

I tried before to ask InstallShield support team but without any solution they asked me to update the Kernel or the program i dont remember, and that's what i did. but i still face the same error

thanks in advance

Where did you acquire the Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Installer, because it usually comes with an entire package, "MX", which is dreamweaver etc. If you downloaded the installer, then it is probably corrupt, or there is a file that is necessary for the installation to work missing.

Yes -  It would seem the instalation support file is lacking.

I am unaware of where you aquired this file, but it to me looks like a CD copy, as they tend to be the non-selfcontained packages, where some external files missing.

It could also be InstallShield which I guess you could check for updates for.

That's a updater, not a whole install AFAIK.

Try redownloading and also try looking for an update to InstallShield. You say it worked fine on another computer, but that may have a different verson of operating system or something.

Edit: You could also uninstall the old Flash and install MX (not with the updater though! but with a full download).

(Also watch out for double posting ;)).

ok Kipper2258 as i said in the begining of the post , i have contacted install shield support and they asked me to update the software and that's what i did, also the other pc has the same version of windows xp :), and i also removed the flash mx and couldn't install it, so i copied the files from the other pc in order to continue using the flash:)

and hey kipper for the double post dont worry about it, u can see that all my old post are being edited and not double posted, but if u know that if u edit a post it doesn't appear in the top list, so people can recognize it. until u post a new reply, so that's why i double post it.:) !!! dont be fast in judgment man

I know perfectly well why you did it, but it is still against the rules, if someone could have helped they would have:

only contain a short message, such as "LOL" or "hello."
are posted more than once, or immediately after another one of your posts (double post). There is an edit button. Learn to use it.
But I accept why you felt the need to use, since someone else may be online who hasn't yet seen it. But try a redownload I suggest.
