O.P. a legal question.
whenever someone asks about how to get a contacts ip. everyone just says invasion of privacy. but don't you (as the owner of your own computer) have the right to know what IP's are connected to your PC?

really but what if you dont want anyone to know your ip cuase then they could track you down

It's not invasion of privacy to be able to see someone elses IP or else websites wouldnt be able to use them to ban you from their sites.

It could only be considered invasion of privacy if it was taken in a malicious way, or taken to be used in a malicious way.

It all depends on the situation, theres many different answers that you could be given as to how it is, or isnt invasion of privacy. Thats just the way law works

not anymore, they took that out on 7.0 or 7.5, one of them anyway

well; people can hack each other and find out where you live with your ip is there anyway i can block my ip from being seen?

Well i guess you do however i can get anyone of your ip addresses if i wanted. And all out ip addressed are being logged on these forums right now and it is perfectly legal :)

yes, but your ISP can always see it.

i use 7.0 and its still there. must be 7.5

get a good anti-virus (Nortan or Zonealarm), use a router instead of modem?
