It would be nice a script to show the file transfer status somewhere visible, maybe down the contact display picture?

id like to see a lot done for transfer. of single files. speed display, status display. all visible while scrolled to bottom of chat. i read long ago WLM was going to have big transfer improvements. including things like that. but i either imagined it, or source was wrong, or was dropped.

Umm, Sharing Folders. Those are "big transfer improvements"...

The transfer of single files is mainly for backward compatibilty. Sharing with people on 7.5, or people that can't use sharing folders.

Other than that, Sharing Folders are superior to single files.

i know that. but i read about improvements including displaying kb/s, and better display. I'm guessing of single file transfer. even of sharing folder would be great. but sharing folders is just as bad as single file transfer. no info except % of completion. its especially annoying when sharing with those who have dial up. no idea of time left or what speed its at.

I would like not to roll up to check %, just a constant visible bar. Also kbps would be great.

Great idea, would be nice if someone can do it.

i agree awesome idea, an always visible bar while transfering with a bunch of info... sadly i know nothing about scripting and progamming

This has been requested many times before and many developers have tried to do it, but with no luck so far
