RE: What was your first computer?
Pentium MMX 166Mhz
16MB of RAM
2MB graphic card
2GB Hard drive
Windows 95.
I successfully screwed the PC up when I was trying to install Win 98.
Then I had to bring the PC to the store to let me them install it, and I had to upgrade my graphic card 4MB because it was "burnt"
But, I was happy with the new graphic card because I could watch movies.

i have no idea what it was, i just remember it had windows 1.0 on it, and you had to close down windows just to open up word , but it had sim city on it. fold down, keyboard, 5 inch floppy, small green screen which you turned on and controled the contrast from a single knob in the back

A 286, I can't remember much about it but I remember having to use a 3.5" floopy to boost the memory in order to play some games on it.

RE: What was your first computer?
* markee wishes his first computer had a HDD
But I guess 2x5" floppy drives were about as good as you could get for a PC....
BTW, I dont really remember that computer, I do remember the next one which we used to run a dos interface rather than windows..... we got it about 16 years ago I think and my first was purchased before I was born I'm quite sure
